Welcome to the Website of ASEASA (previously ASEESA) which contains information appertaining to past, present and future activities of the association.

ASEASA was established in 1974 and has the following goals with regard to curriculum, learning and assessment in Education and Training:

  • the integration of assessment within curriculum

  • stimulate interest in the problems of assessment and evaluation

  • encourage improvement in methods of assessment and evaluation

  • encourage research in the field of assessment and evaluation

  • evaluation of the overall effectiveness of curriculum activities

  • co-operate with all organisations in the promotion of fair assessment and evaluation.

  • the promotion of quality assurance across learning fields in education and training and

  • provide opportunity to publish related material

To achieve these goals ASEASA encourages debate and the dissemination of information on relevant skills and process through

    • the organization of an international conference bi-annually. Successful international conferences were held in 1974, 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2004 while Regional . conferences were held between 1974 and 1994 and during 2003.

    • the publishing of the Bulletin and the Journal of Educational Evaluation annually.

    • the publishing of material on this website to highlight interest and further development in the field. A selection of articles from past and present journals will continually be published on this site.

    • the encouragement of debate through, inter alia our discussion forum. 

      The papers published in our publications are subjected to review by an editorial panel, drawn from a list of our local and international editors.
